House. C17 to right, early C19 to left. Timber framed core to right, clad below
in colourwashed render with tile hanging above; colourwashed render and brick
extension at right angles to left. Plain tiled roofs to right over C17 range,
low pitched hipped slate roof to left with deep eaves. Two storeys. 4 gabled
range to right with diamond panel of fishscale tiles in each gable. Larger gable
to left with ridge stack, C18 gables to centre and C20 gable to right. Three
windows on the first floor and two windows to first floor right. Five windows
across the ground floor. Two 12-pane glazing-bar sash windows to first floor of
left hand range, one either side of stack. Two windows below with margin lights.
Door of 4 fielded panels at junction of ranges under cambered head and with fluted
pilasters flanking. Flat-roofed porch over on square pillars. Left hand return
front:- (facing Sadler's Close) C19 range at right angles. Five bays with
channelled, block-rusticated end piers. Centre three bays in shallow break flanked
by rusticated piers on the ground floor and thin Doric pilasters above. Three 12-
pane glazing-bar sash windows above, three bigger windows below with margin glazing
bars.
Interior:- some Queen posts and tie-beams exposed in first floor rooms to rear.
