House, now offices. c1760-80. Render over coursed limestone
rubble; Welsh slate hipped roof, Welsh slate roof to wing has
half-hip to right; brick stacks to rear and right end of main
range, on rear slope of wing and gable end of rear range. Main
range has front to left side, wing to right of front, possibly
earlier, and early C19 wing to rear.
3-storey 3-window main range. First floor has three 6/6-pane
sashes, to left with horns, in plain reveals; three 3/6-pane
sashes to second floor. Ground floor has two C19 canted bays
with 4 pairs of plate glass horned sashes to each bay flanking
late C18 porch with Doric pilasters, open pediment enclosing
fanlight and door with 6 flush panels. Rusticated quoins to
left and right angles; cill band to first floor. Wing to right
is 2-storey 3-window range with break forward to centre. First
floor has one 6/6-pane and two 8/8-pane sashes; ground floor
has one 6/6-pane sash, one 8/8-pane horned sash and one 9-pane
C20 window with top-hung light, C20 half-glazed door.
Rusticated quoins to left angle adjacent to main range and in
angle of break; cill band to first floor. Early C19 range to
rear also attached to rear of No.55 Dyer Street (qv). INTERIOR
not inspected.
