Opticians with flat over. Late C17 with later alterations and
additions to rear. Coursed squared limestone rubble;
artificial slate roof; rebuilt brick left-end stack, two brick
stacks to left side of C17 rear wing. One gable to front. 2
storeys and attic; 4-window range. First floor has two 2-light
ovolo-moulded stone mullion-and-transom windows with leaded
lights to left, two late C18/ early C19 two-light leaded
casements in plain reveals with stone cills to right. 2-light
ovolo-moulded stone mullion-and-transom window with leaded
lights in gable to centre. Ground floor has C20 recessed
shopfront with concrete lintels and stone piers; 2 bow windows
7x3 and 5x3 panes, one 6-pane fixed light and two 9-pane
glazed doors, on stall riser of reconstituted stone. C17
gabled rear wing has timber-framing to first floor side
elevation; large C20 extensions. INTERIOR not inspected but
noted as having undergone C20 alterations.
