House. Said to be 1835; late C19/early C20 and some mid-C20
alterations. Red brick laid in Flemish bond with flared
headers, painted to first floor of side wings and to rear;
canted bays of timber construction on bases of matching brick;
Welsh slate roof; roofs to side wings not visible. Rendered
left- and right-end stacks on coped verges of main roof; 2
stacks, brick to left, rendered to right, on swept false
gables on ends of side wings.
2-storey 5-window range. First floor has one late C19/early
C20 6/1-pane sash in plain reveal with rubbed brick flat arch
lintel to centre; 3 similar 8/1-pane sashes in each of canted
bays to left and right; to far left and right 2 early C19
circular windows with glazing bars in side wings. Ground floor
has three 8/1-pane sashes in bays similar to first floor; 2
early C19 6/6-pane sashes in plain reveals with rubbed brick
flat arch lintels in side wings. 6-panel door with upper 2
panels glazed within C20 pedimented doorcase. Shallow stone
plinth and stone band course over ground floor; late C19/early
C20 timber dentil eaves cornice to main range with coped
parapets on lower side wings swept up to meet it. Bays have
moulded timber cornices over ground and first floors.
INTERIOR: ground floor only; early C19 stick baluster dog-leg
staircase with mahogany handrail and shaped tread-ends; early
C19 reeded stone fire-surround to front left; late C19/early
C20 fireplace to front right. First floor fireplaces said to
have been removed. 6-panel door with 8-pane overlight to rear.
