Dated 1878 and 1894. A long narrow asymmetrical building. 2 storeys and attics
red brick with lighter red brick window surrounds and yellow brick diaper work
decoration. 4 gabled, projections without windows with terracotta moulded
Neo-Jacobean decorations. The 1st floor has 3 double sashes and decorative
terracotta panels representing the Kent County symbol and the arts and sciences.
The ground floor has 13 cambered sashes. The doorcase is set in a pedimented
door surround. On the right side corner that is a cupola surmounted by a
weathervane with balustrading below. The entrance on this corner has a clock
above it and curved pediment supported on Tuscan columns.
