Dated 1898. Architect Ernest Newton. This was designed to form part of the same group as the Royal Bell Hotel and No.181. Four storeys red brick. Mansard tiled roof having two large curved dormers with balconettes. Decorated lead eaves cornice with date and rainwater head. Two curved bays through the lower floors and later shopfront.
The Royal Bell Hotel and Nos 179 to 181 (odd) form a group.
