Looking south west from England into Wales. Brunel’s railway bridge of 1852 was a predecessor of his celebrated Tamar bridge, still in use today. Brunel’s Wye bridge was replaced in 1962 with the structure we see today and only the piers remain of the original bridge. These are difficult to access at present due to ongoing development of the former Fairfield Mabey engineering site.
