Standing stone. Re-erected 1977, age unknown. A lump of natural sandstone
c 1.5 m high set on roughly circular base of large untrimmed stones, and including a plaque recording that the stone, known as the Buttington Stone,
was re-erected in the Silver Jubilee year by the Army Apprentices' College
and Sedbury Park School (qv). The assemblage is set on a natural mound at
the junction of Offa's Dyke and the road from Sedbury to Beachley.
