Market cross. C14. Sandstone. Square base of 5 bold steps, c3 metres at
base receding as squat pyramid, carrying deep moulded plinth to principal shaft,
square with chamfered corners carrying bold roll moulding and each face with
deep cinquefoil-headed conch recessed niches; the whole crowned with a heavy
moulded square capping with flat top. The structure apparently of C14 except
for C19 capping. There is no shaft.
