Clock tower. 1875. Ashlar. Tall slim tower of Florentine character, with
battered base section, and clock section on machicolations and crenellated:
viewing gallery above has small turret with gargoyles, crenellation and
conical roof with ball finial. Renovated and clock renewed in 1956. Tower
stands in prominent position at junction of High Street, Lower High Street,
and Station Road.
