GV II
Hall, formerly Chapel. Built 1826. Rendered, hipped Welsh slate roof to
simple eaves. Two storeys, 3-windowed, half round first floor and semi-circular-
headed ground floor, with glazing bars to Y-tracery and raised flat architraves;
new door centrally under flat wooden hood with moulded edge. This building
included principally because of its value in group with Hill Cottage (q.v.)
as seen from High Street. Built originally as a Congregational Chapel in 1826,
but replaced by Congregational Church in High Street (not listed) in 1864 (VCH).
Since then a variety of uses, and at time of survey undergoing internal altera-
tions.
