House. Circa, 1579. Close-studded and ornamental braced timber
frame, exposed with plaster infill, with plain tile roof. Four
bay, lobby entry. Two storeys with continuous first floor jetty,
hipped roof with gablet to right and stacks to centre left and
projecting end right. Irregular fenestration of 4 wood mullioned
windows to first floor and 3 to ground floor. C20 plank door and
side lights in original 4-centre arched doorway to centre left.
Interior: Door-heads of lobby doors initialed WT and AT. William
and Anne Terrey were married in 1579. Contemporary brick-lined
cellar. The house was for a while used as Poor Cottages.
