Farmhouse. Dated 164l on a fireplace bressuaer; refaced C18 cross-wing added to
left late C18. Flemish bond brick; Rain range has string course; cross-wing has
dogtooth cornice. Old plain-tile roofs; brick end and ridge stacks. Irregular
U-plan. 2 and 3 storeys; 5-window range, 2-window central range has plank door
with 2-light overlight on right. Cross windows with horizontal glazing bar.
Gabled wing on right is similar, but first floor has a C20 cross window, All
openings have brick segmental arches, 3-storey crass-wing has through passage.
2-window ranges 6-panelled door on right has panelled reveals, and moulded wood
surround with pediment and high entablature. 12-pane sash above, and 16-pane
sashes to left, Second floor has 12- and 9-pane sashes, Brick flat arches
throughout. Rear has similar door and doorcase to cross wing. Interior has 2
back-to-back open fireplaces with rough chamfered cambered bressumers; that in
the central range is carved with the date 1641 and initials FT and RT. Ogee-stop
broad-chamfered ceiling beams. Dog-leg staircase in cross-wing has scrolled
string, stick balusters, and wreathed mahogany handrail with inlaid motif.
