Farm
GV II
Remains of lead mine. Probably mid C19. Coursed sandstone rubble with ashlar
dressings; roofless. Ruin of rectangular building, with flat stone lintel over
wood jambs of empty door on west side, survives to maximum height of c.3 metres.
This stands on earth platform held by 2-metre-high retaining wall, with vertical
stone coping, in which an arch at south has voussoirs. Interior of tunnel
visible to several metres. A rare survivor of a major industry in the area.
Derelict at time of survey.
