7/33 Barn to north of Lad Stones

Barn. Early C19. Well coursed large dressed stone, stone slate roof. Plinth,
quoins, coped gables with kneelers. Opposing depressed arched cart entries with
joggled skewbacks, quoined jambs form portal. Mistal doorways to either end
have chamfered surround. North gable has large circular pitching hole to apex.
Moulded copings.
Interior of 4 bays. 3 bays formed by large pointed stone arches from portal
walls to either side of threshing floor. A 3rd arch to south is solid and
formed dividing wall to cottage originally lit by chamfered window in east wall.
Dressed stack to ridge. Southern gable has 2 windows with same over for
cottage. Large circular opening to apex has central mullion.
