Engine House to east of
pumping station.

1890 by J.E. Wolfe, resident engineer to Sunderland and South Shields Water
Company. Brick: roof of plain tiles. 1 storey x 3 bays. Central door flanked
by round-headed windows in brick panels; plinth; sloping terracotta cills.
Hipped roof has clove-shaped terracotta finials. Brick housing to shaft from
west elevation to mound of pumping station.
