Barn. C16 with later cladding. Timber frame with rubble stone cladding,
stone slate roof. Reduced to 4 bays (the addition with lean-to roof at right
end formerly an additional bay), rear aisle. South-east front: cart-entry in
bay 2 has double harr-hung board doors under cambered, large-scantling timber
lintel with C19 brick infill above. Two doors to right. Later studding to
gable of right return. Left return rebuilt with tall cart-entry and later
studding in gable.
Interior: 5 trusses, the left one and the front posts embedded in walling.
Jowelled posts on padstones, straight braces to tie-beams and arcade plate.
King post trusses with V-struts, the king posts with trenched horizontal
braces to principal rafters and later wind braces. Trenched purlins, mostly
renewed. Early rafters. Arcade plate has tenoned scarf joint. Long ties
from posts to wall plates. Large scantling principal rafters, some replaced.
