Row of 2 cottages. C15 and C18. Main range C18, flint and brick
with extension of chalk and flint, thatched roof. Cross wing at
west end, C15 timber framed and thatched. In main range, left
cottage 2-storey 2 bays with central stack and boarded door. 3-
light casement to ground floor, leaded casements to first floor.
Plat band. Right cottage, header bond, 2 bays with stair hall at
left end and rear stack. Main stack in extension to structure to
right. Refurbished 1984, glazed door and 2- and 3-light wood
casements to windows.
Interior with chamfered spine beams and sharply cambered fire beam
with oven in gable stack. Lean-to service rooms to rear. Cross
wing at west end, now store, 2-storey 2 bays, heavy framing 4
panels high with girding beam and corner braces. Some wattle and
daub infill. Jowled posts, queen struts to cambered collar and
trenched single purlin. Central stack.
