9/47 Dovecote at Clarendon House
II

Dovecote, now wine store. C18. Chequered brick bound with iron
bars, tiled roof. Octagonal plan with a tall central glover,
rebuilt c1900 also with an octagonal tiled roof and alighting holes
with ledges, and a clock on 2 faces. Wind vane at apex. Door on
south side and small window.
Interior contains 23 tiers of nest holes, some blocked, and a
timber framework for potence.
