6/95 Pope's Bottom Cottage

Farmhouse, now detached house. Late C18 one room cottage with
additions of mid-C19. English bond brick, Welsh slate roof with
brick stack between 1st and 2nd bays. 2 storey, 4-window front.
Door in porch with hipped slate roof is central to Cl9 part of
front, to left and right are 3-light cast-iron casements and 3-
light wooden casement and blocked segmental-arched door are to left
in C18 bay. First floor has three 3-light cast-iron casements and
one 2-light over porch. To rear is mid-Cl9 2-storey wing with
hipped Welsh slate roof and cast-iron casements to first floor,
ground floor windows are C20 with inserted door. Left return has
one casement to each floor.
Interior: Brick back-to-back fireplaces in two left-hand bays.
Staircase of C19 ascends from front door. Stairs to one-bay C18
part removed.
