House and shops, with datestone HH 1649 but mostly rebuilt in C18
and C19. Rubble stone, rendered to No 9, with C19 slate eaves
roof, coped gables and south end stack. Tall 3-storey, 3-window
range with 3 second floor recessed ovolo-moulded mullion windows,
first floor sashes in bead-moulded surrounds with hoodmoulds, 12-
pane to left pair, 16-pane to centre and C20 plate glass to right
pair. Ground floor shop window in bead-moulded surround with
hoodmould and door in C20 stone doorcase with cornice to left,
original central 6-panel door in stone doorcase with cornice and
large C20 shop to right. Two gabled wings to rear, taller behind
No. 9.
