Farmhouse. Early C17. T shape plan with a 2-cell main range and formerly
detached rear service wing of the same date. Timber framed, mainly plastered
but with some roughcast render; pantiled roof except for front slope of main
range which is plaintiled. 2 storeys and attic. 2 windows, mid C20 3-light
casements incorporating older opening lights; lobby entrance with 6-panel
door, the upper 2 panels glazed, moulded architrave; internal stack. Main
range modernised in C19. The service wing includes an unusually intact dairy
and first floor cheese loft with exposed framing, original stairs, partitions
and floorboarding; the cheese loft had slatted windows with internal hinged
shutters.
