L-shaped timber-framed house fronted with red brick in late C16 or early C17 but the back wing and possibly the whole building is older. Two storeys and cellar above ground, also attic in gable end. Two windows. Two small gables. Tiled roof. Windows in stone surrounds with dripstones over, those on the first floor being the original casements with stone mullions, but those on the ground floor altered in the C18. Gabled brick porch up nine steps with carved bressummer, bargeboards and pendant. Brick doorway with almost square head and iron-studded door of 24 panels. Brick chimney breast on the south wall. The back wing has some timber-framing and close-studding exposed on the first floor.
