Farmhouse. C17, rebuilt early C18, altered and addition of mid C19.
Flemish bond brick with chamfered rusticated quoins, hipped tiled
roof, brick stacks. 'L'-plan. Two-storey, 5-windowed; sashes.
Central C20 panelled door in plain ashlar architrave with
pedimented hood on carved brackets, two 4-pane sashes in ashlar
architraves with dropped keystones, to either side. Plat band to
first floor; five 4-pane sashes in ashlar architraves with dropped
keystones. Dentilled eaves cornice to roof with two hipped dormers
with 9-pane casements. Attached to left is single-bay mid C19
extension with 4-pane sashes, under extended hipped roof. Left
return has external stack, sash and casements. Right return has
one 4-pane sash. Rear has limestone C17 range, rendered and with
C20 casements.
Interior has planked doors and chamfered beams with stepped stops
to rear range. Front has doors with 6-fielded panels, mid C18
stairs with three turned balusters per tread, wide moulded
handrail, panelled dado. Attached to front are franking Flemish
bond brick walls and dwarf brick walls with cast-iron spearhead
railings to street frontage.
