Mill house with former watermill adjoining. 1807; the watermill was largely
gutted and converted to residential use in 1937-8. House. Render on brick,
with a modern textured finish; roof of glazed black pantiles. 3 storeys. 2
bays x 1 bay: inset sash windows with glazing bars. Internal stack. Mill.
Timber framed and weatherboarded with a modern textured finish; roof of glazed
black pantiles. 3 storeys; to the right a gable with projecting lucam. A
range of 6 small-paned sash windows. Plank door. C20 first-floor doorway
approached by an external wooden flight of steps. Internal cast iron breast-
shot waterwheel by Knights of Harleston; cast iron wheelshaft and pitwheel.
The wheel was last used to generate electricity. To the left of the range is
a 2-storey granary: tarred brick on the ground floor and weatherboarded above.
Sir Alfred Munnings RA was born here in 1878.
