II
Detached house with rear service wing. TA/1745 on tablet on west
stack, service wing of c1900. Header bond brick front and Flemish
bond to sides and rear, tiled roof with coped verges and kneelers
and gable end brick stacks. L-plan. 2-storeys and attic, 5-
windows to symmetrical front. Central door has 6 fielded panels
and brass fittings, with flat wooden hood on brackets. Either side
are two 12-pane flush sashes with flat arches and keystones. 3-
brick plat band to first floor and five 12-pane flush sashes with
flat arches and keystones. Dentilled brick cornice. Two flat-
roofed dormers have 2-light casements. Left return has one 3-light
casement with cambered head to ground and first floor with 3-brick
plat band at first floor level, small casement in attic gable.
Right return has no windows, but central projecting stack and plat
band. To rear of main range is central projecting stair turret of
3 storeys with pyramidal tiled roof and C20 casements, to left is
large 3-light leaded casement to ground floor. First floor has 2-
light casement with cambered head and round-arched stair window to
right of stair turret. 2-storey service wing to rear right has
doors with round arched openings and four 12-pane sashes to ground
and first floors of left return from front.
Interior has doors with fielded panels and moulded archtraves.
Newel stairs with turned balusters. Entrance hall and sitting room
have panelled dados. First floor bedroom has bolection-moulded
fireplace with eared surround and moulded cornice.
