Farmhouse. Early C17 2-cell range to rear; early C19 front range (said to be
dated 1803 on a rafter) forming double pile plan. Earlier work timber framed
and plastered under a pantiled roof. C19 range of red brick with glazed black
pantiles to the front roof slope. Mutule eaves cornice and parapet gables. 2
storeys; the earlier range has an attic. 3 windows, slightly inset sashes
with glazing bars; flat arches in white brick. Central doorway with mid C20
glazed doors and a semi-circular fanlight with mid C20 radiating glazing bars;
white brick arch with stone key. Gable stacks. Rear range has internal stack
with recessed oblong panel. Modernised interior with mid C20 stair. C17 work
has exposed first floor framing with cranked reverse-curved braces. On-edge
chamfered joists. One ground floor bridging beam is ovolo-moulded; the other
has a painted inscription dated 1765. Roof not examined.
