Wellhead at west end of terrace. Sixth century Byzantine capital
from near Ravenna, reused by Peto as mock wellhead and set here
c1907, well bucket suspended on spiral fluted Corinthian Roman
column surmounted by French stone lion. One of several sculptural
features on Great Terrace, brought here by Peto.
