North west aspect. Two dwellings, perhaps originally one farmhouse. Built of coursed ironstone with Collyweston slate roofs. The number and position of the storeys varies across the building. Mullioned windows, gabled dormers. The dwelling on the left has a diamond pattern in the door overlight. The doorway to the right has the carved inscription -Ano Domini 1636 RS ES-. This masonry was commissioned elsewhere, not carved on site, according to Pevsner (His phrase is -brought in from outside-). (Photo Oct 2007).
