House, adjoining water mill. Mid C18. Brick walls of header bond, and tiled
roof (of double pile). Symmetrical north-east front elevation of three storeys
five windows: walls with plinth, 1st and 2nd floor bands, rubbed flat arches,
moulded and dentilled brick cornices to the parapet, with stone coping and stone
cills. Sashes in reveals. Porch of two columns two pilasters, in full Doric
order with mutules and triglyphs, segmental pediment with panelled soffit, eared
architrave and panelled reveals, 7-panelled door, above two stone steps. To the
south-east side is an early C19 wing, appearing as single-storeyed but of two
storeys on lower ground, with brickwalls of Flemish bond with blue headers, Tile
roof with brick dentil eaves: to the north-west side is a single-storeyed wing
of late C19 with a prominent tile roof (with scalloped bands). The south-west
(rear) elevation to the main block is also symmetrical, of three storeys three
windows, walls of blue headers with flush red quoins, 1st and 2nd floor bands,
rubbed flat arches, sashes in reveals, and central doorway within a half-glazed
porch, with a tile roof.
