GV II
Cart shed, dated on door lintel panel 1848 L. Dale. Lightly-tooled
coursed squared sandstone; now roofless but end copings remain.
2 storeys, 3 bays. At right 2 cart arches with chamfered, shouldered
lintels and boarded doors. At left a stable door and a blocked
feeding chute, showing that left end was a pigsty. Small lean-to
stable added at east end.
This building is included for group value as part of comprehensively-
dated series of buildings around a beautifully-paved sloping
courtyard, all built by Leonard Dale in the mid C19.
