House, now shop and surgery. Early to mid-C18. Red brick, painted to
front, with some sandstone dressings. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys.
Chamfered stone quoins and parapeted gable ends with rounded copings and
moulded stone kneelers. 3 bays; tall plate-glass first-floor sashes
with painted moulded stone cills and painted gauged-brick heads with
raised keystones. Central window blocked. Late C20 shopfront with plate-
glass window to left and half-glazed door to right. Sun fire insurance
plate (No. 414194) between central blocked first-floor window and right-
hand window. Interior: post-1720 eighteenth century dog-leg staircase
(now only from first floor to attic) with open string, column-on-vase
balusters (2 per tread), moulded handrail and square newel posts. C18
first-floor door between front and rear ranges with 2 raised and fielded
panels.
