East central entrance to the courtyard quadrangle has a memorial slate above. -In Grateful and Affectionate Memory of John Turner, Knight Bachelor. For many years a Trustee of this Charity Who served the County of Leicester as High Sheriff 1920 and Deputy Lieutenant and Justice of the Peace. b 29th Mar 1858 d 3rd Mar 1931. His elder Son installed the electric light in this Hospital-. (Photo May 2010).
