Country House. Completed by 1842. Ham stone ashlar; Welsh slate roof between coped gables; brick end chimney stacks or
stone bases. In a Tudor revival style - a well detailed example. 2-storeys with attics: symmetrical East elevation of
5-bays, the centre bay being slightly projected and gabled. Plinthed (forming basement to sides): 2-light hollow
chamfer mllioJed and transomed windows containing wood casements to outer bays; to bay-3 a deep moulded recessed
pointed arched doorway under label with square stops, framing a 4-panelled traceried door with glazed upper panels;
above this a pointed arched window with curvilinear tracery, and a trefoil cusped window to attic, both with labels.
Double gabled extension to rear, with pitched stone slab roof porch with bell-turret; also wing walls from rear with
pointed arch doorways. Interior not seen: some early work from Naish Priory, East Coker (qv) may be incorporated here.
