The Bell Pit

Public house. C17, altered in early C18 and extended to rear in
C19. Timber frame plastered with hipped red tile roof. 2
storeys, 2 windows, facing E. Symmetrical front with black
plinth and panelled pargetting (renewed). Low sash windows set
flush, 3/3 to 1st floor and 4/4 below. Central panelled door in
simple pilastered surround with full entablature and flat hood.
Internal gable chimney on S. Rear corner chimney on N. Red
brick 2-storeys rear extension. C20 single storey red brick and
tile extension set back on S.
