House. Early C17 with late C17 additions. Timber framed with painted
brick nogging on rendered plinth. Thatched roof. Framing: square
and rectangular panels, 2 from sole plate to wall plate; late C17 square
panels with long straight tension braces. Baffle-entry plan of 2 framed
bays; later C17 wing at rear and addition to left. One storey and
attic. Large central C19 brick ridge stack with shafts flanking central
lozenge-panelled strip and toothed-brick capping. Pair of large C17
timber framed eaves dormers with decorative parallel diagonal strutting
close studding in left-hand gable and collar and tie-beam truss in right-
hand gable with queen struts and V-struts; late C20 wooden-framed leaded
metal casements. 3-window front; 2- and 3-light wooden-framed leaded
metal casements, the centre one replacing a door. Lower timber framed
addition to left has integral C19 brick end stack with shafts flanking
central lozenge-panelled strip and toothed brick capping, and 2-light
metal casement to front. Right-hand gable end has collar and tie-beam
truss with queen struts and V-struts. Entrance at rear. Interior
not inspected.
