Farmhouse, now divided into 2. Probably C17 with considerable later
additions and alterations. Roughcast probably concealing timber frame
on high uncoursed limestone rubble plinth, slate roofs. Rough L-plan
with roof of long range in 2 sections, left with original steep pitch.
One storey and attic to left section, 2 storeys over basement to right;
irregular fenestration, horizontal sliding sash to ground floor of left
section with gabled eaves dormer; gable of right section has late C20
windows, that on ground floor a neo-Georgian bow; contemporary glazed
door to centre with red brick ridge stack directly above and external
lateral stack to right. Interior: massive chamfered spine beam with
heavy joists to left ground-floor room, which has infilled inglenook
fireplace; double-purlin roof but trusses concealed at time of resurvey
(November 1985).
