House, at one time 3 or more dwellings, now 2. C18, altered C19,
extended C20. Timber frame. Weatherboarded and brick cased. Steeply
pitched thatched roof. 4 cells. 1 storey and attic. 2 light flush frame
small pane casements. Door removed at time of inspection. 4 dormers with
eyebrow thatching. Ridge stack with rebuilt capping between 2 right
bays. Left gable end is C19 red brick with kneelers to slate coped
parapet, rebuilt internal end stack. Weatherboarded to rear. To right is
a C20 brick and tiled addition which forms most of Brown's Cottage.
Interior: exposed and altered framing, tension braces, clasped purlin
roof. Included for group value.
