Hotel and public house. Early C19 (dated brick: IPA P9 1803). Red brick. Gauged segmental window heads. Slate hipped roof. Two storeys. Upper floor has seven regularly spaced sash windows with flush moulded frames. Door in centre of ground floor with two glazed, two fielded and two flush panels. Doorcase with fluted pilasters and dentilled pediment. Either side are three triple-hung sash windows. Plinth, floor band, dentilled brick eaves. On west gable end are two large external stacks and two pedimented doorcases with simple cut brackets, the doors part glazed. East end with one stack and one similar door.
