Lodge, 4 piers, railings and gates. Late Cl9. Ashlar with Westmorland
slate roof to lodge. Iron railings. Lodge: L-shaped plan of one storey and
2 bays. Rusticated quoins. Half-glazed door to right under porch with
Tuscan column. Sash window with glazing bars left, with projecting band
carried round the building at sill level. Projecting eaves cornice and
parapet, hipped roof, central corniced stack. Right return has canted bay
window. Piers - 2 to each side of gateway, square in section, approximately
4 metres high with banded rustication and ball finials. Linked by low walls
with copings and plain railings over. Entrance piers composed of iron bars
with pointed capping.
