Inn. Late C17, with later extensions Cruck frame encased in rendered
stone; concrete pantile roof; brick stacks. Originally 2-cell, direct-entry
plan; extension to left added. Single-storey, 4-bay front. Part-glazed
door to left of centre, with 2-light, large-pane, horizontal sliding sash to
left; two similar windows to right. End and left of centre stacks to steeply-
pitched roof. C19 extension to rear not of special interest. Interior: Two
pairs of crossed apex crucks are visible in the loft, one against the wall of
Rose Cottage (qv), the other over the two rooms to right. In the centre room
the fireplace survives consisting of a moulded hearth beam, spear and bench.
Corbelled-out chimney piece over C20 fireplace. Stop-chamfered axial beam.
