House with shop. Early C18, late C19 shopfront. Red and blue
brick, some weatherboarding to rear, steep old red tile half-
hipped gambrel roof. 2 storeys and attics, 3 windows wide, large
L-shaped building with carriageway through N end, projecting NE
rear wing, and single-storey weatherboarding and tile and brick
and slate range of outhouses. Regular street front with 3 2-
light casement box dormers behind brick parapet over corbelled
eaves band above 3 slightly recessed box sash windows with 6/6
panes and deep red brick rubbed segmental arches. Shopfront with
fascia and central door. Heavy frame to square headed carriageway
on LH. Large axial chimney on S of carriageway to rear of
roofridge. Corner fireplace and smaller chimney at SE. Rear
dormer in upper part of roof of SE.
