Farmhouse. C18 with earlier orgins; C19 alterations, including door and
window surrounds. Dressed sandstone to front, coursed rubble to rear;
ashlar dressings; pantile roof; brick stacks. 3-cell, hearth-passage plan,
with rear service outshut added. 2-storey, 4-window front. Panelled door
to right of centre, approached by stone steps. 4-light mullien window to
right; similar 2-light and 3-light windows to left. First floor
fenestration is the same, with the addition of a 2-light mullion window over
door. All openings have heavy, squared architraves with splayed reveals and
chamfered mullions to windows. Coped gables, and 2 end and one centre
stacks. All, windows to rear have thin timber lintels. Interior: massive,
square-section beam from earlier house has been retained in centre room.
