churchyard approximately 5m
north of tower to former Church
of St Peter

GV II

Three chest tombs and row of 12 headstones. C18. Limestone.
Group comprises: 2 tall chest tombs, one with gadrooned corner
balusters, sides inscribed to various members of WILKINS family;
other with panelled pilasters and fielded side panels, raised
bolection moulded oval to ends, inscribed to Wilkins family; low
chest tomb with bulbous ends having acanthus carving to side
returns, later sandstone inscription panel to THOMAS BARON, died
1766. Row of headstones in variety of designs all with good
carving, two with anthropomorphic panels at north end of row.
