SP 14 SW WESTON SUBEDGE

4/150 Norton Hall Farmhouse

GV II

House. Mid C19. Limestone ashlar with stone slate roof; brick
service wing with Welsh slate roof. Double pile Jacobean revival;
2-storey with attic; service wing at west end. Elevations to north
and south of 3 windows with central doorway. South: 8-light
mullioned and transomed windows, with a 4-light over doorway, which
has a beaded surround with stone hood on curved stone brackets.
North: 6-light windows with none over doorway, which has timber
porch. 2 windows of 6-lights below central valley at east end.
Plain band at upper floor level rising over south doorway. Hood
mouldings to all windows; 4 chimneys have moulded caps. Service
wing with brick arched window openings; windows are C20
replacements, as are those to main house, but all are leaded.
