Detached house - former Rectory. Original section - now service rooms,
probably early C18 - enlarged and altered in early C19. In Regency style.
Plastered walls, hipped slate roofs, plastered stacks with moulded caps.
2 storeys. Main elevation has slight projection in centre. Portico with
4 Tuscan columns supporting entablature and flat roof. Panelled door
flanked by double-hung sash windows. Over the portico, a pair of french
doors with glazing bars in raised plaster surrounds, flanked by shallow
pilasters and cornice. On each side of the central bay, each floor has 2
double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. Earlier, rear ranges of similar
construction but with steeper pitched roofs with coped gables. Internally:
in the C19 range, main rooms have moulded cornices and some original
joinery and fireplaces. Cut string stair with ornamental spandril brackets.
No visible internal features in earlier ranges.
