Store, former cottage. Mid C16 with some C20 rebuilding. Plastered cob on rubble
footings, partly rebuilt with c20 brick and concrete block; corrugated iron
(formerly thatch) . 1-room plan building facing east. 2 storeys. 1-window front.
C20 ground floor window and doorway to left. First floor has the remains of a mid
C16 oak 2-light window from. The mullion and arched heads have been removed.
Gable-.ended roof. The right (north) end rebuilt with C20 concrete block.
Interior has mid C16 features. Crossbeam is soffit-chamfered with step stops. It
is supported each end on jowl-headed posts partly-buried in the side walls. The
posts of the jointed side-pegged cruck roof truss are tenoned into the top of the
crossbeam. The ridge is supported in the surviving left cob gable wall by a
vertical oak post.
