Plan: Originally a single depth 3 room plan house, the hall in the centre, an inner

been added at the left end.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 2:2 window front giving 2 double-fronted
cottages, Thatch End to the left. C20 porch to Thatch End which has a C17 ovolo-
moulded doorframe; thatched glazed porch to the Thatched Cottage to the right. 2-
light timber casement windows with glazing bars (first floor window right retaining
some square leaded panes), except ground floor right which is a good early C18 12-
pane sash with thick moulded glazing bars; 2 similar early C18 sashes to the right
return.
Interior: The hall (half in each cottage), has a chamfered stopped crossbeam,
scratch-moulded joists and an open fireplace (in the Thatched Cottage) with a jewel
step-stopped lintel and a bread oven. The right hand room has a rebuilt angle
fireplace in the rear right corner and a fitted C18 china cupboard with shaped
shelves. Thatch End has a winder stair with a straight flight lit by a 2-light C17
mullioned window with leaded panes.
