4/37 Tomb Chest of Drue Family
- in Churchyard 10m south east
of Denbury Church Porch
GV II

Stone tomb chest, with brick repairs, about ten metres south-east of church porch.
Late C17 or earl C18. Slab or local 'marble' on top commemorates Benjamin Due
Senior, buried 1696, his wife Rebekah, buried 1684, and their children. Small slab
of same stone on west end of chest is inscribed: "Here lyeth him and all that was
deare unto his parents three and twenty year/Then all you that are young and do pas
by remember all-that you must die/B.D."
