Farmhouse. Probably C16 with C19 and C20 superficial modernisations. Plastered
cob on rubble footings, stone or cob stacks topped with C19 brick; corrugated
asbestos roof (formerly thatch). 2 storeys facing south east. 3-room-and-through-
passage plan with service end to north east (right of front) and secondary kitchen
wing (maybe C17) added at right angles to inner room and projecting to front with
large gable end stack. Gable end stack to lower end and axial hall stack backing
onto passage. Main block with 4-window front. C19 3-light timber casements to
ground floor and first floor right of centre (all with glazing bars). The rest and
those on front wing are C20 PVC casements retaining size and disposition of former
fenestration. Front door is right of centre beneath oval plaque with moulded
plaster surround recessed into wall face. All internal features are boxed in or
blocked but C16 and C17 features survive. Front garden separated from farmyard by
late C19-early C20 cast iron spear-headed railings.
